I have a few minutes before my lecture and I thought I’d quickly post about a new TV series here in the UK called “The Food Hospital”. Due to the fact that I don’t have a TV I only found out about this series as one of my professors was featured in the first episode where he did an experiment showing that flavonoids in blueberries (and other foods) lowers blood pressure.
I’ve only watched the first episode so far, but what I really appreciate about this series is that is tries to convey the importance of food on our health. Being a nutrition student I know how important food can be and the effects poor nutrition may have on our health. Therefore I’m really looking forward to watching the upcoming episodes of “The food Hospital”, where doctors and dieticians are trying to combat illness solely by altering people’s diets and lifestyles.
If you’re interested in watching the episode or just want to see where I study, here’s the link:
The important bit starts at minute 34, Episode 1!
Thought I’d also share two autumn pictures to make this post more colorful.
See ya later!
